Welcome to Backyard Beekeepers Association!

The Backyard Beekeepers Association is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization founded in May 2015. Our mission is to promote the art and technique of beekeeping through education and support of small scale backyard hobbyist beekeepers and interested non-beekeepers.

The goal of our association is to educate and assist members to be practical, responsible and successful beekeepers; and to increase public awareness of the value honeybees provide to our environment, our ecology and our food production.

We seek to accomplish this goal through local classes, public presentations, and monthly community meetings where we share our ideas and experiences.

If you are a beekeeper, want to become a beekeeper, or are simply interested in learning more about honeybees, Join Us and find out what the buzz is all about!

 Association Meetings

Our meetings are held each 3rd Thursday of the month (January – October), from 6:30 pm until approximately 8:30 pm. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Location:  Deer Park City Hall Senior Center, 316 E. Crawford. (The Senior Center is located downstairs.)

A typical meeting includes some association business, and each meeting contains an educational segment as well. Perhaps best of all, our meetings provide the opportunity to meet and learn from other local beekeepers.

We hope to see you there!
